This worked out so good i was thinking if this concept works on shirts why not the doo. So i recommend you use freezer paper cut shiny side down. If you use your cricut cutting machine to cut the freezer paper stencil i found the best setting to be copy paper with the pressure set to more i also tried washi paper and wax paper but they did not work as well. To cut freezer paper with your cricut or silhouette lay your freezer paper shiny side facing down on the cutting mat.

The temperature necessary will depend upon your individual mat i ended up using 350 degrees for 30 seconds and giving all of the areas of my stencil two presses to firmly secure it to the doormat. Make sure you like how your stencil looks on your mat. Cut your freezer paper over the image and you ve made a stencil. With a hot iron gently press down and the freezer paper will temporarily stick to the doormat.

Place the freezer paper stencil in place on the mat shiny side down and use the easypress 2 to adhere the freezer paper stencil to the mat. Remove the loose pieces from cutting mat and place on top of the doormat in the appropriate spots. To make a stencil with your freezer paper lay your printed image on a cutting mat and then lay the freezer paper shiny side down on top. This is a super easy way to make your own doormat using freezer paper.
